This is 100% worth your scroll time, by the way.

So Shall We?
I came across a TikTok challenge that a girl did, and she was so perfect at it. I kept watching the video over and over, and I even went to check other people’s entries. They were good too, but there is just something about this girl’s own and I think others saw it too, because the likes, comments, and reposts on the video alone were crazyyy.
She was not the one who started the challenge, she just copied what others were doing, remixed the energy and added her own spice, and by doing just that, she stood out from the rest.
Now, this is something we can all learn from; many people have walked the same path you are about to take in the tech industry. Some have done exactly what you are currently doing and have succeeded. They have laid the foundation for you, and all you have to do is follow their footsteps, study what they did and why it worked, and use that insight to make your own better.
You need to observe, analyse, and replicate what is already working until you can find your rhythm.
Let me give you an example: if you are planning to enter the global tech market, check out people who are already doing it, look through their profiles and portfolios, ask questions, and use what you learn to strategise and position yourself. Your job is to study what worked for them, use it as a guide, and improve on it.
I just listed out some actionable steps, but in case you missed it, here they are again:
Find at least 3-5 people who have the kind of job you want.
Study what they do or post consistently. For instance, check out the people they connect with, the platforms they are most active on, the resources they share, how they talk about their work, the kinds of problems or projects they work on, and how they present themselves to global clients.
Create a Google Doc or Notion file to document your findings.
Once you are done gathering the information, break down everything into different categories like portfolio style, job search strategies, projects, content style, personal branding, etc.
Use their format to tell your own story.
Let’s say, for example, they are using LinkedIn to position themselves for global jobs, try it too. If you like how they structure their project case studies, use that as an inspiration to make yours better.
Next time, instead of scrolling through people’s pages and feeling sad about what they have achieved, ask yourself how they got there and what you can learn from them. Screenshot what you admire, review it later and pull out three things you can try out.
The idea is not to just copy and paste, it is to learn their language of success and speak it in your own accent. Your journey to success starts with finding the right strategy that works for you.
